ELLEN AUWARTER

Cabaret Singer

“…vocally very solid and at ease on stage and with her audiences…”

Ellen Auwarter is based in New York City, where she has sung for many years – and continuously since 2017. Ellen has performed in such venues as Don’t Tell Mama, Pangea, Eighty-Eights, the Triad, 53 Above and Chicago’s Davenport’s.

Ellen discovered cabaret in 1997 through a summer workshop with Lina Koutrakos. Although she didn’t stay with cabaret, cabaret stayed with her. Eventually, Ellen found her way back, and in 2018, debuted her solo show Make Just a Ripple: Songs about Life’s Brave Moments, which sold out three times at Don’t Tell Mama.

In 2022, Ellen was a finalist at the Tomatoes Got Talent show, and in 2023 and 2024, performed at the Midwest Cabaret Conference in Chicago.

Ellen’s day job took her from practicing lawyer to legal marketer/business developer, and she’s been at her current law firm for nearly 15 years. Outside cabaret and work, Ellen spends time with her family and many cabaret friends, seeing great theatre and fellow cabaret performers in the city and relaxing at the beach in New Jersey.
